We will hear how the 2024 Olympics in Paris were produced, listen to the freshly-awarded Grammy winner Hans-Martin Buff and immerse ourselves in the world of Dolby Atmos music and film productions.

Our Head of Music and Word Production, Lasse Nipkow, is hosting a comprehensive seminar at Studio 2 / ORF RadioKulturhaus in Vienna on April 29 and 30, 2025. The the event shows how 3D audio content can be produced to a high quality and published more widely.

Stefan Weinzierl (TU Berlin) invites us to an afternoon dedicated to the acoustics of musical instruments: We will start with a guided tour of the acoustics test hall, including the anechoic chamber, followed by a lecture on the subject of “Anechoic chamber and acoustic research”.

The SALS returns with a session about 3D microphone recording techniques. Based upon Hyunkook Lee's 3D-MARCo research, we will listen to different microphone array recordings and discuss them over a cold drink.

Thanks to favorable exhibition conditions, several VDT sustaining members are exhibiting in the German Pavilion at NAMM 2025. VDT President Ulrike Anderson established close relations with the German Ministry of Economic Affairs and Climate Protection, which resulted in this attractive project.

For the first time, the VDT exibits at the Hamburg Open. The event takes place on January 15 and 16 in Hall B6 of the Hamburg Messe. We look forward to welcoming numerous visitors to our stand no. 738 and also to our presentations.
