The Bildungswerk des Verbandes Deutscher Tonmeister GmbH is a legally independent subsidiary of the VDT e. V.

The tasks of the Bildungswerk include the independent organisation and implementation of activities, such as the organisation and staging of congresses, exhibitions and trade fairs, sales and information events, as well as conferences, including the necessary PR and public relations work. The production and distribution of, for example, media content and/or print media may also form part of the company’s scope of services.

For the professional development of VDT members – as well as the training of the next generation of professionals – the company organises the Sound Engineers’ Conference every two years, as well as seminars on current professional topics. These events are generally open to both members of the VDT e. V. and interested non-members. Furthermore, the Bildungswerk des Verbandes Deutscher Tonmeister GmbH serves as the central point of contact for the international pro-audio industry. The trade fairs and events organised on behalf of the association are therefore closely aligned with the strategic and economic needs of the industry.
