Fully booked – Visit the Berlin Philharmonie for insights into hall acoustics, the Digital Concert Hall and Dolby Atmos production. During a rehearsal of the Philhamoniker, we will see preparatory workflows in the video and audio studios.

Cerberus Media Solutions, and Hamburgs Ing.Büro Pinguin, invite members of the AES, VDT, and DEGA from the greater Hamburg area to a special workshop, with a get-together afterward.

At Fraunhofer HHI we’ll explore acoustic simulation methods (from an AES67-capable microphone array to a binaural renderer) and then experience a TiME Lab demo on audio in interactive immersive environments featuring a 180° video projection and a wave-field-based 3D sound system.

I'll present the recent microphone setup at Salzburg Cathedral for streaming (ORF, Bible TV, YouTube). With seven organs and concert masses, this was a special challenge. We'll hear recordings from the west gallery organ and analyze a stream excerpt.
