Cooperation between VDT and isdv

The VDT and the isdv (Interest Group of Independent Service Providers in the Event Industry) have started a close cooperation that provides a wide range of offers, especially for all our self-employed members working in Germany. There are also numerous exciting events for trainees and permanent employees. This means we can offer our members a whole range of new, attractive offers!

Block 1

Every VDT member can become a so-called “family member” of the isdv free of charge. This gives us access to all isdv events and allows us to take advantage of all of their services. These include webinars, up-to-date information on political issues in the event industry, deals with discounts on workwear, and much more.

VDT colleagues who are just starting their careers will find assistance and expertise in business administration, legal issues, calculating daily rates, and tax issues at the isdv start-up consultancy. The isdv is also authorized to issue viability certificates for your business plan, which may then open up government start-up subsidies.

Important: Although the isdv focuses on self-employed and freelance professionals, it also aims to accompany and support trainees and employees. To this end, the isdv has acquired extensive expertise so that ultimately all our members can benefit from this cooperation

What is the isdv?

The isdv sees itself as the legitimate representative of self-employed and freelance professionals in the event industry (including the audio industry) in dealings with politicians at federal and …
state level, at European level, and within the industry itself. It represents the opinions expressed by the association's members at member meetings (twice a year), online member meetings (every two weeks), at trade fairs, and in personal conversations with the board. All those who are self-employed or freelance service providers in the event industry have a voice and a lobby through the isdv.

Why cooperating with isdv?

How do I benefit?

As a VDT member, all you need to do is register as a VDT family member with the isdv. The isdv has created a separate form for this purpose, which is only available to VDT members. Please log in to MyVDT.

What does the isdv offer us?

A VDT member who has registered with the isdv as a family member can take advantage of almost all offers available to full members of the isdv. These include:

  • Webinars on topics related to self-employment, available to VDT members under the same conditions as isdv members
  • Every 14 days on Thursdays at 5:00 p.m.: Online member forum, an open call on all current topics
  • Information on business management, accounting, taxes, daily rates
  • General information on self-employment
  • Discounts at partner companies, e.g., 15% at GS-Workfashion.de
  • Start-up consulting
  • Issuance of viability certificates for company start-ups (opens up funding programs)
