Visit of Muehleisen Orgel Düesseldorf Oberkassel
Dear colleagues and everyone interested in pipe organs,
I would like to invite you to an organ tour in Düsseldorf-Oberkassel. I am organizing this event in collaboration with Orgelkultur Aachen e.V., where I serve on the board.
We will take a look at the large Mühleisen organ in St. Antonius Church, and Markus Hinz, the church’s cantor, will provide details and, of course, play the organ.
Some key points:
Mühleisen organ at St. Antonius Church, Düsseldorf-Oberkassel, Luegallee 61.
The organ consists of three sections: the gallery organ, the choir organ, and the remote section.
Specifications: https://www.santobene.de/export/sites/santobene22/.galleries/dokumente/disposition_der_orgelanlage-1.pdf
The organ features, among other things, a Sinua single-note control system and other special features, such as the ability to control it remotely via MIDI or OSC.
During the tour, we will climb up to the gallery organ (steep wooden stairs) and view the Fernwerk (across the vault of the nave to the crossing tower).
Parking is available around the church or at the Luegallee Barbarossa Platz parking garage.
Or by public transportation (DB and Rheinbahn stop: Barbarossa Platz).
If you are interested, please register with me in advance. Please arrive by 3:45 PM, as we will close the doors behind us at 4:00 PM to begin the ascent.
The tour is not wheelchair accessible.
Afterward, we are welcome to enjoy an Altbier at a nearby
