This individual Q&A session concludes an online training course for students on legal, tax, and business topics. Participation is by individual invitation.

We are trying out a new version of SALS, called Focus SALS. In this format, we listen to entire radio plays or albums, immersive ones of course, in a cosy atmosphere and with pleasant conversation.

Das Referat Film-Fernsehen des VDT nutzt die gute Gelegenheit, dass sich die Branche während der Tonmeistertagung trifft und lädt am Freitagabend (14. November) alle Interessierten zu einem gemeinsamen Treffen mit der bvft (Berufsvereinigung Filmton) ein.

Unsere Reihe „Women in Sound“ geht mit in die elfte Runde. Dieses Mal haben wir Marina Dötterl eingeladen: Marina hat 2016 ihren Master of Engeneering im Studiengang Medientechnik und Medienproduktion (OTH Amberg-Weiden) erworben.

SALS goes Duesseldorf - Spatial Audio Listening ­Session

In cooperation with the University of the Arts Bremen (HfK), the VDT's Young Talent & New Members Department, and the AES Student Section Hamburg, the VDT invites you to the next edition of SALS on September 19 at 15:45 p.m. at the HfK Bremen.

Dieses zweistündige Format bietet mehrkanalige Audioproduktionen verschiedener Formate und Genres, kuratiert und moderiert. Bei einem Kaltgetränk ist es gewünscht, sich zwischen den Stücken über das Gehörte in der Runde auszutauschen. Im Nachgang besteht die Möglichkeit zum offenen Austausch.

Eine herzliche Einladung an alle zur ersten Spatial Audio Listening Session (SALS) in Leipzig!

This time, we'll go back to the topic of Quadraphonics, but we'll take the time to listen to two complete works. As always, there will be a short break in between.

‘Big bands have always fascinated me because you have everything: orchestra, soloists, an immense sonority and all the nuances of dynamics.’ Carlos Albrecht has decades of experience in miking, mixing and producing big bands. He will share this in the online seminar.

The SALS returns with a session about 3D microphone recording techniques. Based upon Hyunkook Lee's 3D-MARCo research, we will listen to different microphone array recordings and discuss them over a cold drink.

The members of the department can meet for a relaxed exchange. Topics will include a brief review of past activities and the planning of future formats.

On January 10, starting at 4 pm, we invite you to the Spatial Audio Listening Session (SALS). On this date, we will delve deeper into the topic of Ambisonics. The immersive sound format, which has existed since the 1970s, has been enjoying steadily growing interest ever since.
