Curated by Topic Chair Andrew Levine, the 33rd Tonmeistertagung once again featured an extensive session on the topic of “Making Music with Modular Systems”. In the first part of the workshop, moderated by Daniel Deboy, Andrew demonstrated the use of the theremin as well as the possibilities of working with alternative musical controller instruments such as the Continuum Fingerboard. Mario Schönhofer then provided a deep musical and technical insight into his approach to performance-oriented music production with modular synthesizer systems. The thematic highlight finally came in the form of a concert as part of Connecting Audio Night with Mario Schönhofer and Erdung at Dr. Thompson's Seifenfabrik.

Inspired by tmt33, plans are already underway in the Munich regional group for a Moog modular workshop.
