Immersive open air opera production
Today we’ll be touring the sound department at the Braunschweig State Theater. The absolute highlight will be attending the main orchestra rehearsal for „Der Freischütz“ at the Burgplatz Open-Air, featuring 360-degree sound reinforcement and tracking of the soloists. Please note: There are very few seats available for this event, so register quickly!
We’re thrilled to have received this second invitation from Thomas Bohnsack Pätsch, head of the sound department at the Braunschweig State Theater. With this invitation, he once again wants to give a small group of colleagues from the Hamburg regional chapter the opportunity to tour the Braunschweig State Theater and then experience the main orchestra rehearsal of „Der Freischütz“ at Burgplatz near the cathedral.
This production is particularly interesting because it features a 360-degree sound system. The soloists will be tracked, and the orchestra will also be amplified with directional sound. After the event, there will be plenty of time to talk shop.
Schedule:
2:00 p.m.: Tour of the Braunschweig State Theater
5:00 p.m. to approx. 10:45 p.m.: Attendance at the main orchestra rehearsal for „Der Freischütz“
We can only participate in this event with a small group of eight people. We therefore recommend registering as soon as possible. Once the spots are filled, a waiting list will be created. If you have registered but are unable to attend, please be sure to cancel your registration immediately so that someone else can take your place. You can easily register or cancel your registration using the link provided above.
