The Regional Section Leipzig invites you to an exclusive visit to the MDR headquarters on 17 July. Our host, Philipp Wiedemann, audio engineer at MDR Radio, will provide insights into the technical infrastructure of the radio studios and control rooms, audio processing at the broadcast mixing console, day-to-day radio operations, and the audio workflows of the content management system.

The programme also includes a visit to the central routing room and the television transmission control centre. Topics will include radio audio distribution within MDR and the ARD network, television contribution workflows, and various tools used for recording interviews. There will also be plenty of time for questions and professional exchange.
