Our “Women in Sound” series is entering its twelfth round. This time, we have invited Elettra Bargiacchi: Elettra is a freelance sound designer, composer and recording mixer, a member of VDT and AES Germany.

On February 20, the Filmakademie Baden-Württemberg invites you to a Spatial Audio Listening Session in its film mixing stage. Historical and contemporary formats will be listened to, compared, and discussed – curated by Leon Sudahl. Registration required.

The VDT has now been a member of the BAGSV, the Federal Working Group of Self-Employed Associations, for two years. Many VDT members are self-employed. What has membership brought them? Have important issues been addressed and the right course set? Now we want to re-evaluate this membership.

For the first time, the VDT is hosting AUXeins, a two-day conference for young professionals in the industry, in Leipzig. Are you in training or studying with a focus on audio? Then make a note of this date as an important networking and knowledge-sharing event for 2026!
