Michael Singer joins the board
Read full articleJürgen Goeres-Petry, who has been active in the VDT for 35 years, is paving the way for further rejuvenation in the VDT board. Michael Singer (27) is therefore joining the board. Focusing on topics such as game audio and interactive audio, he represents the further modernization of the association.

The VDT is very active, both with meetings of voluntary working groups and with freely accessible events. The range includes regional group and presentation meetings, which are combined with a visit to an interesting location, specialist lectures or workshops, as well as online and hybrid formats. Student 3D Audio Production Competition in Ambisonics
For the ninth time in a row, the Student 3D Audio Competition invites to listen to elaborate, high-quality productions in Ambisonics 3D Audio. This year, the award ceremony is facilitated by the Tonmeistertagung. During the show, the jury presents the nominee productions in an indeal 3D audio listening environment, announce the winners and hand out the awards. The three nominated productions in Category 1 will be presented at the ORF musikprotokoll in Graz on October 2. They are also already available online in binaural sound.

- Audio drama / Documentary / Soundscapes
- Music recording / Studio production

Der VDT ist Mitglied der Interessengemeinschaft Veranstaltungswirtschaft IGVW. Die IGVW wird von den wichtigsten Verbänden der Veranstaltungsbranche getragen. Ihre Zielsetzung ist es, gemeinsam bei für die Veranstaltungswirtschaft bedeutsamen Themen Position zu beziehen sowie diese öffentlich zu vertreten und Branchenstandards zu entwickeln. Gerade in Krisenzeiten bewährt sich die enge Zusammenarbeit der Verbände, die unter anderem zum Beispiel in der Politk für eine bessere Sichtbarkeit der Veranstaltungsbranche im weitesten Sinne sorgen können.
