For the thirteenth time now, a group of sound professionals is now organizing the practical workshop "Mischen Impossible". It takes place at Bezau Monastery in Austria from 21st to 27th September 2025 and is a self-organized format: there is no seminar leader-participant divide, but all participants are invited to actively participate in the planning and implementation of the content. We offer a week of practical workshops, exchange, excursions by and for sound professionals, including free time together and fantastic food!

This time, the VDT would like to give up to three students from higher semesters of a pro audio degree course the opportunity to take part in the “Mixing Impossible” workshop, which is organized on a grassroots democratic basis.

Call for students for sponsored participation in Mischen Impossible:

You have probably already heard of the Mischen Impossible event, a multi-day workshop organized independently by mainly VDT members on a grassroots democratic basis. The VDT, which is a supporter of this seminar, would like to enable three students from the higher semesters to take part in this seminar. It offers the opportunity both to expand their own specialist knowledge and to build up a network in the industry.

The seminar costs €516 for accommodation and meals for students, with the VDT paying an additional €267 each for three selected students. There are no further seminar costs, only the outward and return journey must be organized by the participants themselves. It is often possible to carpool with other participants.

Are you interested in taking part? We offer a PDF form that you can use as an application form. We are specifically looking for advanced students, i.e. students who have completed their Bachelor's or Master's degree. If this applies to you, we look forward to receiving your application!

After the closing date on May 31, we will select three students from the submissions to receive the financial support. The prerequisite is a completed application form and, of course, a binding willingness to take part in “Mischen Impossible” from September 21 to 27 and to cover the remaining costs. Each participant is actively involved, which we also expect from the students.
