Concentrated expertise: ProAudio College, VDT Village and VDT Lounge
The cooperation between the VDT and PLS will manifest itself once again at Prolight + Sound 2024. Just as PLS exhibited at the VDT Tonmeistertagung in November 2023, the VDT will be presenting its VDT Lounge (Hall 11, Stand C20) in Frankfurt. It serves as a networking area for all audio professionals and enables contact with VDT volunteers. On Wednesday afternoon, the VDT invites you to a VDT get-together in its lounge.
Another new highlight will also be created this year in close cooperation between the two partners: the association will be presenting itself and the ProAudio industry with its own pavilion in Hall 11 under the name VDT Village. The area offers an ideal platform for VDT members and other audio professionals to network with each other and with the exhibiting companies from the pro audio sector and find out the latest news. The VDT Village is located in the middle of the exhibition area of the sound reinforcement companies.
Expert knowledge in concentrated form for audio professionals and interested newcomers is offered by the ProAudio College (Hall 11, Portalhaus Level 1, Room "Transparenz 2"), which is implemented together with the Verband Deutscher Tonmeister e.V. (VDT). Following the great success of last year's college, the offer will be expanded and internationalized at the upcoming show.
The focus of the lecture program is on current trends in the sound reinforcement scene, innovations in home studio productions and exclusive training modules of the SQQ7 educational standard curriculum. Developed by a broad-based working group under the leadership of the VDT, this standard develops and defines learning objectives for further training to become a "certified sound specialist". Future scenarios and tips for career starters, physical principles of room acoustics, methods for transmitting synchronous A/V media data, sound check guides, frequency management and much more will also be covered. The lectures will be held partly in German and partly in English. Those who take part in one of the workshops will receive written confirmation of the knowledge acquired.
