We are happy to open our call for contributions for the 32nd Tonmeistertagung right now. The call will close on the 29th of May 2023.

All VDT members and audio professionals are invited to actively contribute to the congress programme. The programme shall be rich and colourful again, which is why we wish to encourage speakers from classic sound engineering as well as representatives from broadcasting, theatres and other live performance venues, production, science, engineering and art to submit fascinating contributions. Also, we would like our exhibitors to start thinking about what interesting product contributions they can make.

All relevant topics

We are especially keen to find the hot topics of 2023. Pre-selected subjects are already integrated into our call portal. The scope will be adjusted continually as the call proceeds. So, feel free to bring up other fields of interest that are not on our list yet!

Each topic is curated by an expert team. The earlier you contribute and inform the programme team about your proposal, the earlier the suitable session is found where your contribution can be placed.

Submissions with specific audio requirements

When submitting, you define whether and how much audio material you intend to play back and which audio equipment you require to do so. For rooms featuring good acoustics and suitable equipment we prefer contributions that make good use of audio playback. Therefore, you will be applying for a specific room with specific equipment for your contribution. This is especially the case for all contributions which require 7.1.4 format, hi-res audio or binaural playback.

The is open until May 29th, 2023. Please bear this rather early date in mind when doing your planning. We want to already publish the first preliminary programme already in Summer. Of course you can still submit any missing details to your contribution even after the initial deadline.
